How to integrate Veriti with Netskope

Integrating Netskope’s cloud security platform with Veriti can create a more robust security posture by improving visibility, threat detection and response across your cloud and IT infrastructure – effectively mitigating risks and safeguarding your valuable data.

This powerful integration enhances threat detection by merging Veriti’s threat intelligence with Netskope’s real-time monitoring, providing comprehensive protection against potential attacks.

Furthermore, Veriti acts as a central hub – streamlining security operations across your platforms, enabling automated incident response, and ultimately reducing costs and freeing up valuable resources.

Here are the steps to setting up your integration:

  1. Sign in to Netskope.

  2. Create a new REST API v2 token:
    • Go to Settings > Tools > REST API v2.
    • Click the “NEW TOKEN” button.

  3. Choose a name and expiration period for the token. We recommend the following values:
    • TOKEN NAME: “Veriti”
    • EXPIRES IN: “24 Months”

  4. Click “ADD ENDPOINT” and add the following endpoints:
    • /api/v2/policy/urllist
    • /api/v2/policy/urllist/deploy

  5. Select “Read + Write” for the above two endpoints, and then click the “Save” button.

  6. A REST API token has now been created. Click “COPY TOKEN” and save it for use in Step 13.

  7. Now, copy the tenant name from your Netskope dashboard URL – it will be needed in Step 13. It is a unique identifier for your specific organization within the Netskope platform.

  8. Next, create a new URL List. It will act like an allowlist/blocklist for specific URLS so you can manage website access and categorization:
    • Go to Policies > Web > URL LIST.
    • Click the “NEW URL LIST” button
    • Complete the below fields as follows, and then click the “Save” button.
      • URL LIST NAME: “veriti_block_list”
      • URL TYPE: “Exact”
      • URL & IP ADDRESS: “https://placeholder.veriti.ai”

  9.  A pop-up box will ask you to confirm – click the “APPLY CHANGES” button.

  10. Now, create a custom category and include the URL list you created in Step 9:
    • Go to Policies > Web > Custom Categories.
    • Click the “NEW CUSTOM CATEGORIES” button.
    • Complete the below fields as follows, and then click the “SAVE” button:
      • CUSTOM CATEGORY NAME: veriti_block_category
      • URL LIST (Include): veriti_block_list

  11. A pop-up box will ask you to confirm – click the “APPLY CHANGES” button.

  12. Next, create a new policy and set it to block the custom category you created in Step 10:
    • Go to Policies > Real-time Protection.
    • Click the “NEW POLICY” button and select “Web Access”.
    • Complete the below fields as follows, and then click the “SAVE” button at the top of the page:
      • Destination – Category: “veriti_block_category”
      • Profile & Action – Action: “block”

  13. Lastly, use the newly created token tenant, and URL List name to set up your Veriti integration:
    • Go to Settings > Integrations > Netskope.
    • Click the “Connect” button.
    • Paste the token (from Step 6), tenant (from Step 7), and URL List Name (from Step 8) into the form:
